Job Summary:

As a Senior Data Engineer at iTech-Go, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and optimizing our data architecture to support various business initiatives. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to develop scalable data solutions that enable advanced analytics, machine learning, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for working with data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes that efficiently ingest, transform, and store data from diverse sources.

• Develop and manage data models, warehouse architectures, and data lakes to ensure high performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, provide insights, and optimize data structures to support analytical and reporting needs.

• Work closely with data scientists to prepare data for machine learning and AI projects.

• Implement and enforce best practices in data security, governance, and compliance, ensuring data privacy standards are met.

• Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

• Optimize database queries and maintain data quality by implementing automated monitoring and alerting processes.

• Contribute to the improvement of data engineering processes and provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or data architecture.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with expertise in cloud-native data tools and services.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala for data processing and pipeline automation.

• Experience with data warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and familiarity with data lake architectures.

• Knowledge of big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and experience with data processing frameworks.

• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance frameworks.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex data issues.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with streaming data solutions (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.).

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).

• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect).

• Certifications in cloud data engineering (AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer Associate).
